Disabled &amp; Proud is CFILC\u2019s statewide youth program\nthat is focused on connecting, educating and organizing youth with disabilities\nages 16-28 throughout California.&nbsp; YO!\noffers youth leadership opportunities, youth social change campaign\nopportunities, youth specific&nbsp; trainings,\nyouth activities developed by youth for youth and job readiness skill building\nthrough YO! Volunteer\nwill engage in youth organizing campaigns, promote the YO! Disabled and Proud\nprogram.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3>Outreach<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Assist in organizing of activities related to CFILC\u2019s Youth Organizing!\nDisabled &amp; Proud program.<\/li><li>Assist in organizing events that are youth led and youth driven, such as\nsummits, community forums, trainings and leadership events.<\/li><li>Assist in collecting youth input for projects and campaigns. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3>Marketing &amp; Public Relations<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Assist in developing website materials and social media content.<\/li><li>Bolster social network presence for youth organizing activities within\nyour local community.<\/li><li>Assist in maintaining the local social network for youth. <\/li><li>Assist in other marketing and public relations tasks such as:<ul><li>&nbsp;Social Media\nOutreach<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3>Administrative<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Assist in answering the YO! 411 Hotline. <\/li><li>Other emerging volunteer assignments as needed.&nbsp; <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2>POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Youth with a disability between the ages of 16 -28. <\/li><li>Ability to communicate with other youth and adults with disabilities.<\/li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality.&nbsp;\n<\/li><li>Ability to ask for assistance and support when needed.&nbsp; <\/li><li>Ability to research, plan and provide information to youth about local\nresources and events.<\/li><li>Ability&nbsp;to operate in a computer-based office environment. <\/li><li>Ability to commitment 16 hours minimum per month for one year.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2>Compensation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>STIPEND: <\/strong>$100\/per month<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>HOW TO APPLY:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\n\n\n\nInterested applicants should apply online at: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.yodisabledproud.org\/volunteer\/become-volunteer.php\">http:\/\/www.yodisabledproud.org\/volunteer\/become-volunteer.php<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Youth Organizing (YO!)
